Hi, I’m Victoria — a published author with a passion for storytelling and plant-based living. After six years of being vegan, I created Shirley Tries A New Diet to make veganism more relatable, less intimidating and a lot more fun. Through humour and honesty, I hope to share what I’ve learned and show readers that this lifestyle doesn’t have to be perfect — just authentic, informed and occasionally hilarious.

THOUGHT-PROVOKING BOOK ON JOURNEY OF AUTHOR GOING VEGAN
Having been a meat eater since I was small and several health scares later from overworking in the IT sector (defence) with little time for free time and cooking for myself, my doctors gave me a kick up the ^%^%^% to change my life. I am now on a mixed diet - cutting down on red meat, fatty takeaways, and as a carer for my parents (at the moment), I am starting to enjoy cooking various dishes (relaxing), including chicken, fish and also mixing in with Quorn/vegetables, starting to become healthier.
Also forgot to say, opting to use some vegan kits - like cream, curry start up mixes to my meals - do need time though, but with these books like on the Shirley range helping me out no bounds.
This thought-provoking book on a journey about going vegan is from the heart, along with other books in the Shirley, and is well worth a read and purchase, whether it is print or online, etc. Well worth it.
It's a thought-provoking, honest and straightforward read - although I may not go 100% I will do more to become healthier through working and home life.
Again, these Shirley books are well worth purchasing.
